DRUMSHANBO
Drumshanbo
is a beautifully preserved traditional town with plenty of traditional pubs,
live music (for which the area is famous) and small local shops. It is situated
in the heart of county Leitrim in rolling countryside on the shores of Lough
Allen. It is easily accessible by rail, road or river from Dublin, Sligo,
Galway and Northern Ireland.
ACCESS AND DRIVING TIMES
N4 from Dublin via Mullingar and Longford to Carrick-on-Shannon. (2.5 hours) Ballyconnell and Ballinamore (2.5 hours). M1/A4 from Belfast via Dungiven and Enniskillen. Then the N16 via Blacklion to Manorhamilton (2.5 hours). A8/M1/A4 from Larne via Belfast, Dungiven and Enniskillen (2.5 hours). A mainline train runs daily from Dublin to Carrick-on-Shannon. From there it is just a short Taxi ride to The Lough Allen Hotel & Spa.
